Modus Operandi
The team behind Modus Operandi are absolute masters of their craft and have been making waves since opening in 2012. In 2014 they were the Craft Beer Award’s Champion Small Australian Brewery. The following year they were Champion Medium Australian Brewery. Talk about moving from strength to strength. The ease at which they have gained such widespread acclaim is probably due to their M.O. being as simple as crafting the finest beer and getting it out to the people to enjoy.
4 Pines Brewing
4 Pines are absolute giants in the Australian craft beer landscape. Since opening their doors in Manly 4 Pines has become a brewery with instant name-recognition in pubs and homes across the country. Their Brookvale TruckBar the perfect spot to enjoy a brew while seeing where the beer is made. With an incredible core range and a Keller Door series that continually pushes the boundaries this is one brewery that will always impress thirsty patrons, time and time again.
Flat Rock Brew Café
A café? That makes beer? No, nobody’s made a mistake, this is one of the smallest micro-breweries out there. Flat Rock makes great beer from a brewery system not much bigger than one used by homebrewers. Their range of core beers are perfectly made to style and their traditional English Bitter from the hand-pump is certain to take you straight back to your days backpacking through Europe. Flat Rock effortlessly shows that when it comes to great beer, size doesn’t matter.
The Minor Details
- We recommend you indulge in a big breakfast before touring as a beer or two on an empty stomach is never a good thing.
- Due to the nature of beer tasting and Sydney Brewery Tour’s relaxed nature, we don’t run military precise tours. We prefer to run an organic tour where you can buy an extra beer or ask 1001 questions to the brewer which is why we don’t have exact times in our itinerary.
- Please note that you will be visiting work sites and must under law wear closed-top shoes (no thongs or sandals) as a safety requirement.
- Our price includes everything – tasting sessions, a gourmet lunch, transport & guide. Should you wish to purchase extra beer along the way, make sure you bring some cash.
- Due to popularity, Sydney Brewery Tours are in high demand, so please ensure you book early to avoid disappointment.
- Because most venues we visit are working breweries they will occasionally be unable to take groups. If this occurs we’ll always endeavor to get you into another brewery or great beer venue!
